(Booths can include a
family-friendly activity for free or a small fee, offer
educational information as well as giveaways, and/or sell goods
and services. All vendors are responsible for following state
and federal guidelines and providing their own table, etc.
Downtown Danville Inc. has final discretion as to what booths
are allowed at the event. Booths for Sidewalk Sales are separate
from the Downtown Danville Farmers’ Market.) If interested in participating, print and submit this form to Downtown Danville, Inc., 149 N. Vermilion, Danville, IL 61832 with cash or check made payable to Downtown Danville, Inc. by 2 p.m. Friday, June 19. Check in at the DDI office starts at 7 a.m. Saturday, June 20. Friday, June 19:
5-7 p.m.: Unveiling of the Fischer Theatre watercolor
at Vermilion Place, 14 N. Hazel St.;
8:30-10 p.m.: Drive-In Movie,
Gnome Mobile,
at the Custard Cup, 2507 N. Vermilion St.;
No admission charge to watch the movie from your car or bring a
lawn chair if you want to enjoy
the night air. Parking will be available adjacent to Custard Cup
on Ridgeview Street between
Vermilion and Jackson streets.
Saturday, June 20:
7:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.: Downtown Danville
Farmer’s Market
at Temple Plaza at the corner of North Vermilion and North
streets;
Sidewalk Sales
on North Vermilion Street
8:30-10:45 a.m.: Drivin’ the Dixie Registration and Passport
Stop
at the City Hall parking lot, 17 W. Main St. Registration is
free with dash plaques to the first 30 cars. All ages of cars
accepted.
6:30 a.m.-2 p.m.: Java Hut,
13 N. Vermilion St., will be offering a buy one/get one free
coffee.
11 a.m.: Drivin’ the Dixie Start
leaving from the City Hall parking lot traveling north on Walnut
Street, east on North Street and then north on North Vermilion
Street following the old Dixie Highway;
Registration begins for the Downtown Urban Hike
at Downtown Danville Inc., 149 N. Vermilion St.
11:30 a.m., noon: Downtown Urban Hike
leaves from DDI office; Free tours of downtown Danville and
learn history about local buildings. Each tour group is limited
to 25 people on a first come, first served basis. Each tour will
take approximately 1and 1/2 hour. |
