—that Landmarks Illinois named Bresee Tower to its 2012 “Ten Most Endangered Historic Places” List for Illinois. DDI submitted a nomination to have Bresee Tower added to this list in an effort to bring attention to the building to encourage renovation.

Bresee 2012

Originally built as the First National Bank in 1918, Bresee Tower is the 12-story unique Mundie and Jenson structure that defines Danville, Illinois. Each floor is 25’ x 103‘ with two passenger elevators serving all floors. Adjacent to government offices, banks, retail and entertainment centers - this building provides an ideal location for professional office suites, real estate offices, a restaurant, business services or upscale residential. Bresee Tower is located in a TIF district and in an Enterprise Zone and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

This wonderful landmark is currently being offered for development opportunities through a partnership between the owners, Downtown Danville, Inc., the City of Danville and Vermilion County.
