The Survivor Resource Center serves child, adolescent and adult victims of sexual assault and their loved ones by providing counseling, legal and medical advocacy, case management, and awareness/prevention programs for community members and professionals. Our services are completely free and confidential, and available around the clock, every day of the year. We operate a 24-hour local hotline that is fully staffed with local, trained professionals and volunteers who are ready to provide help and answer questions. SRC is a non-profit agency – supported through grants and community donations – committed to ending sexual violence in our community. We serve Vermilion, Edgar, and Clark counties in Illinois.
Formerly known as the Vermilion County Rape Crisis Center, we made important changes in 2018-19. We underwent a name change to the Survivor Resource Center to better reflect who we serve and because we see our clients as strong, resilient survivors. As our staff has grown, we also moved from our location in Tilton to Danville.
New Directions is certified by the Department of Alcohol and Substance Abuse Services and is available for court-ordered offenders from judges and probation officers. Partially funded by DASA
We specialize in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai kickboxing classes for kids and adults. We’re located on Vermillion Street in Danville beside First Financial Bank.
